about

Close friend and a relative of the band members is fighting Bipolar disease and the song and lyrics are inspired by that fight.

The intro and the first verse gives a window into the state of mania with its big vocals an cocky lyrics. In the second verse the listener is invited to the black cave of depression and in the third verse the listener gets to feel the doubts and the uncertainty of upswing.

The Ambient sound of the song represents the fog surrounding the disease and how intolerable the taboo around Bipolar and other mental illnesses is.

lyrics

I’ve been given the leadership.
I’ve been handed control.
I run the traffic, I lead the way.
I’m the one who consoles.

I’m locked inside my toxic mind
with self-hatred and anxiety.
Lost the battle, lost the war
Chained down with ferocity.

Low as the sill by the sea level
Blue as the stare of your eyes.
High as the female voices’ treble
up there hanging from the sky.

Bad memories kept as souvenirs.
Hard to define reality.
Opposite poles, contradicting goals that interfere.
All-halting recovery.
